Srinagar is the largest well know and the last city of Pauri Garhwal district in the Uttarakhand state of India. it lies in the foothills of the Himalayas where it attracts tourists by its beauty of nature. BY AIR:- The nearest airport in Dehradun is jolly grant at a distance of 150 km from Srinagar, Uttarakhand.
BY TRAIN:- nearest railway station is Rishikesh 103 km away where Kotdwar is 130 km away
BY ROAD:- people take taxis or cabs for traveling but luxury buses are also available for tourists, from Haridwar to Srinagar it takes 4hrs 26mins with a distance 151 km while from Rishikesh it takes 3hrs 56mins with a distance of 127km.

The best time to visit Srinagar is during winter instead of summer because during summers some days it reaches 44° C.

1. Kamleshwar temple is one of the most popular shiv temples in the Uttarkhand region located near the main market of town Srinagar. the most interesting belief of people is that to stand the whole night by handling a ghee lamp and praying to lord shiva on the day of Kartik Chaturdashi, the childless couple gets a child.
2. Kikileshwar Mahadev is also a temple of lord shiv established by Adi Shankaracharya, situated in Chauras
3. Shankar math temple is dedicated to Vishnu and located just opposite baba Gorkhnath cave. This temple is at a distance of 3km from the main market of the town.
4. Chopra Mandir is located near the dam site and is dedicated to Chopra Narsingh or Bhairo Nath.
5. Dhari Devi is the holy temple of maa Dhari Devi lies in the middle of Alaknanda river at Kalyasaur between Srinagar and Rudraprayag. People believed that Dhari Devi should not be put under any roof so there is always an open sky above Dhari Devi where taking photos of maa Dhari Devi is strictly prohibited.
6. Maa Rajrajeswari is Kuldevi of Garhwal king Pnwar dynasty, situated inside the palace of king Ajaypal.
